Shopping List

Going to pick up a few groceries from Whole Foods. Thought I'd post my grocery list. I go to school up in San Francisco and occationally browse the farmers markets and always find great things there. I don't know of any good farmers markets around Orange County so if anyone has any suggestions I'd love to hear them!

1. Brown sugar (for a face scrub I make)
2. Brown rice
3. Carrots
4. Spinach
5. Tomatoes
6. Avocados
7. Granola
8. Almond Milk
9. Fleur Vert (my favorite kind of goat cheese)
10. Freshly baked loaf of whole wheat bread

  2. Things you'll need:

    1. Organic Brown Sugar
    2. Organic Olive Oil
    3. Organic Avocados
    4. Sea Salt (make sure it contains trace minerals)
    5. Organic Lime or Lemon
    6. A Bowl

I start with the brown sugar, I usually use about a handful. Then I add the olive oil, don't add too much olive oil, you want to add enough so that the oil soaks into the brown sugar and dampens the sugar but not enough so that you have oil swishing around in the bowl. Add a half of an avocado, you can save the other half for the next day's face scrub or eat it haha. Add a pinch of salt and squeeze some lemon juice into the bowl. Then you need to mash the avocado up until the mixture is a dark brown/green consistency. This is a messy process so be at the sink.
Then wet your face and scrub with the face scrub. The brown sugar is for exfoliating, the sea salt and avocado is for giving vitamins and minerals to the skin and the olive oil is for keeping the skin moisturized. After you wash your face off the oil sometimes doesn't wash off all the way so you'll need to wash it a few times. Also, I use a napkin and dap my face to soak up any oil that may be left on my skin because if you don't get all the oil off you may risk breaking out. But afterwards your skin will feel baby soft the rest of the day and will look great!
